"Merlin(one)" was created in January 2000 as a vector drawing
using Freehand(Macromedia).

Both “Merlin” images don’t use separate lines, are “figurative” in
the most abstract sense possible and, like “Tirehead”, could be
called abstract compositions too, which (are meant to) evoke
figurative imaginings. Aside from the completely different coloring
of “Merlin (one), the dominant feature lies in the background color
gradient pointing top down.
