The three images „Kadath”, „Sarnath” and „Tekeli-li“,are based on
one and the same photo of a nano structure. Their marked differences,
most obvious concerning “Sarnath”, are not only based on color (the
photo being black and white), though without a doubt color plays a
key role, defining the first impression they make. “Kadath” shows a
stark contrast between the shades of blue of an icy deep-reaching
structure, cool, calm and glowing in the deep on the one hand and on
the other hot, glowing shades of red belonging to an abstract, yet
figurative-like structure in the foreground, as if crashed on the
surface and dying down. The title “Kadath” was taken from H.P.
Lovecraft (“The Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath”)
