“Zkauba”
"Zkauba" was created in April 2010 with "Painter" (Metacreations) and Photoshop(Adobe, based on three photos of nano structures taken from an electron microscope.  Print: Piezo-Print on Somerset Velvet Size: Paper: 90x70 cm, Picture: 80x60 cm Copies: 10, numbered and signed, and 2 artist's copies (I-II) Price: 600.‒ Euros Artist: Björn Dämpfling
The title “Zkauba” was taken from H.P. Lovecraft. Layering and coloring, but this time varying the size of the layers in order to get structures looking like figures, heads and so on, not painting, but adjusting everything by hand so to speak. In general I always try to preserve the looks of of nano imagery, which is my philosophy concerning this task. Staying as close as possible to the material and getting away as much as possible is the real challenge in terms of creativity to me, otherwise the term "NanoArt" wouldn't make sense to me.
