The piece is the offspring of a spontaneous and pretty crazy idea that came about when I suddenly “saw” that by “confronting”, actually layering with the same density two digitized, but otherwise completely disconnected sketches from two different years, something special could be the result and to my complete surprise this was the case, happening like it came from “Outer Space”. It was quite down to earth working in detail that made this subtly colored print, which took a lot of time. Concerning this work process, it is no surprise at all that the hardest task was to make it still look like gossamer.
