This image really doesn’t show how it was done, because it seems
obvious that preexisting visual material was manipulated using
certain specific filters, of course, and only the over painting of
certain elements points to having worked things out “by hand,” so to
speak. Truth is, this image is constructed by hand from scratch,
starting with black circles on empty white space, further developing
this into figures and shapes, then layering dozens of times, putting
in all the colors by hand into layer after layer. In this case too,
there was a theme “Color” and precisely because of that I started in
this colorless abstract manner, since I try to run from any “theme”
that restricts my creativity. Having taken enough crazy detours I
don’t mind reaching a thematic “goal”. The route was my goal then and
concerning the result the only thing that counts, is, that it’s
perfect and I love it. Seeing “Living Colors” this holds true,
because for me it is a very special image of fish.
