This image was created for the second edition of „THE BRAIN
PROJECT 2007 – ATTRACTION“ and as always, confronted with the theme
“attraction”, like with any theme given to me, repulsion was the
answer. Only the somehow crazy way to start things by playing a
technical game that created a visual structure quite unlike the final
image, allowed me to go forward based on such a thematic demand. Then
partial destruction and over painting created this peculiar image,
which I can’t classify. It is as abstract as it is figurative even
narrative, in a weard way. One moment there are sharks, then knife
blades, having cut through these barriers. The next time these
openings are traps for a “fatal attraction” of which the bloody
result can be seen with ease. But this red color doesn’t look that
bloody at all, the whole scenery has a serene touch, looks even
static in a way. So, one can make a new image all the time and that’s
a good thing.
