The production history of these images is documented in every detail in the book: Joseph Nalven and JD Jarvis, „Going Digital:The Practice and Vision of Digital Artists”, Boston 2005, Thomson Course Technology PTR, ISBN 1-59200-918-2 For all 17 artists in the book three „seed images“ were the common starting point and this was the only photo material allowed to use. How many images, with which methods or other own materials the artists would make, was completely up to them. This freedom, skipping any “thematic” demand made my participation possible, though I was rather skeptical at first. „The Future of the Past“ is based on all three photos and is primarily a digital collage.
