„My Sentimental Robot“ is based on contour drawing from the early 70’s. The old paper and the few existing lines were scanned and I consciously kept parts of these lines, because to “depict” reality, outer or inner, is of no interest to me. I never contemplated for example to take these lines away in order to perfect the 3D impression of the head. The charm lies in the fact of being able to show all of this, even those spontaneous and raw pencil lines and still a creature in its own right presents itself.
