It was this image which gave me the idea how to title a single exhibition in the town of Röbel/Müritz, "Eerie Beautiful", because in its progress of making,
sometimes halted for many month, feelings of joy, yet endangered, zest for life and the opposite, were all part of this. Gleefully watching structures grow,
sensual shapes, but never the less danger and one can't say if everything is going down, sucked into the gorge or if it is disgorged. This said, it still
sends a message of calm that I myself have difficulties to explain. "The Abyss" itself is shown as a color flow from grey to black, which a coldness and precision
only a computer can generate, unhuman, eerie, with the push of a button. As a thought through counterpoint to the laborious handwork at the PC which created the
drawn and painted elements of the image, that is, its creative substance. Honerable Mention at the
Donnie Award of MOCA (Museum of Computer Art) New York
